4 weeks ago I finally had the operation to remove the lower interlocking bolt from my broken leg. I was a little anxious, not knowing what to expect once I’d had the operation.
Better, but not
4 hours after I woke from the operation, that went smoothly, I was walking. Walking without a limp, without aid and carrying things up the stairs. I thought normality had returned.
But then the muscle aches started. 6 months of not walking has taken it’s toll and I have little to no muscle in my calf.
More is more
I’ve started private physio. It’s not that the NHS isn’t great, but they can’t see me as often as I think I need to in order to make a better progress. My sessions yesterday included some soft tissue manipulation. This was like a really intense deep tissue massage only on my recovering leg)except with more excruciating pain.
Today I’m suffering and the 90 minutes of hot Bikram yoga (or Chinese Water Torture as I now will refer to it) has left me quite strained.
I just want the series of pain to end.
