Rediscovering the joy of listening

Every morning, after I’m washed, dressed, had a breakfast super-smoothie and am sat at my desk (either at home or at a client), I make a list.

I’ve talked about list making before but they mostly the list consists of things that need to be done, for said client or searching for clients or just that need to be done. One thing I always like to add to my list is to make time to learn.

This either consists of reading articles that are building up in my Pocket list or by browsing the extensive catalogue of TED talks. The great thing with these is that you often don’t need to do more than plug your headphones in and click play.

Here’s just 5 to get you started that I recommend watching for some good inspiration and a little bit of daily education. Enjoy some listening time.

The surprising science of Happiness, Dan Gilbert

Let’s not use Mars as a backup planet, Lucianne Walkowicz

Do schools kill creativity,Ken Robinson

The opportunity of adversity, Aimee Mullins

How to find work you love, Scott Dinsmore
