The first “week” of blog posts are over. I’m not sure if I’m enjoying it yet. I am beginning to look forward to reading back over the development of my writing.
8 days in, 358 days to go
There are days when I just don’t know what to write. I can stare at the empty section for hours. I’ve re-written a series of words to the page countless times. Only to hit delete when they’ve seemed to repetitive and boring.
It’s not that I’m not thinking of what to share and put down. I’ve got several draft titles and notes sitting in a backlog. They just aren’t ready. It’s not the right time.
The sixth sense
Writing is as much a feeling as our other senses. As I’m not someone who considers themselves a natural writer, I need to be passionate about what I’m talking about. I end up rambling and distracted. In fact I think I’ve been distracted at least 14 17 times* while writing this.
Thanks to Rebecca Cottrell for today’s blank inspiration.
*Completely arbitrary number of times I’ve flicked onto another tab. It was probably Facebook.
