New Year’s Resolutions are often there as a reminder to get on and do the things we keep meaning to do. Having broken my leg back in November means I can’t exercise until February or March. Walking the dog more often isn’t much of an option either. We all know everyone aims to get fitter and healthier in general, and I’ve started a dry January. Yes, no alcohol for 31 days. But, I also have some other goals that I’ve decided 2016 will help me achieve.
My first resolution is to write something (long or short) every day.
A word a day
I’ve wanted to improve my writing for a while now. One of my older brothers, a journalist, convinced me against going on any expensive 1 day courses. Instead he said just to write something everyday.
A post doesn’t need to be an essay
140×365 came from the idea that what I wrote every day, didn’t need to be a full blown novel. If I could think of a a tweet (140 characters) a day, then I could post it. With some luck this little project will entice me to keep a journal. A record of how the year develops. At the same time creating the desired effect of nurturing a little more passion for words.
Day 1, Check.
Writing a thing every day is hard enough – publishing it is prob even harder – – good luck!!!
